In our second concert of 2006, we had two of our favorite songwriters and perfomers: Greg Klyma from Cheektowaga NY via Austin TX and Dan Hazlett from Waterford MI. Dan, a Songwriters Anoymous member along with Ben, started things off on a high note with with some incredible open tuning guitar wizardry and a combination of sensitive yet humorous lyrics. His jokes and sincerity kept the audience entralled and entertained. Dan was battling a heck of a cold, but you never would have known it from his performance. Greg was on a nationwide tour promoting his new CD Driver and was his usual engaging, quirky, funny self - telling long stories about Lyle Lovett helping him out with his relationship problems and getting pulled over in Oklamhoma for driving too slow. Driver was recorded with a full band of veteran Austin musicians, but they held up just as well with Greg performing solo on acoustic guitar or mandolin.
